Great News! Music Sales Are UP This Year!

We are THRILLED to hear this! According to industry reports, music sales are up for 2011, after many years of struggle! Here are some of the encouraging numbers for ya: – Overall music sales up 8.5% over same time last year (756 mill – 821 mill sales) – Overall album sales are up 3.6% (213.6 mill to 221.5 mill sales) – Digital album sales are up 19% (42.2 mill to 50.3 mill sales!) – Digital track sales are up 11% (597.4 mill to 660.8 mill sales) Here’s what president of the National Association of Recording Merchandisers Jim Donio had to say about these numbers: “The music industry has been from pillar to post over these seven years. This is positive news for us.” We’re very happy to hear it! Let’s keep on supporting the music industry so we can bring those numbers even higher! Do U think music sales will continue to go up?

Jon Bon Jovi Blames Steve Jobs For Killing The Music Industry!

Those are some harsh words! Jon Bon Jov i is saddened by the fact that kids no longer enjoy the “magical” experience of buying records. In fact, he goes so far as blaming the death of the music industry on Mr. iTunes himself, Apple co-founder Steve Jobs .
