Move over, Angelina Jolie …another A-lister is about to steal your shine! We previously told you last month how Angelina was up for a role in the upcoming film, The Counselor , and now, it seems Cameron Diaz is the top choice! Reportedly, Diaz is currently in negotiations to join Michael Fassbender , Penelope Cruz , Javier Bardem and Brad Pitt in the project, set to begin filming this summer. Wow! What a star-filled cast! Cameron will be playing the supporting role of Malkina , alongside Bardem, who will be playing the villain in this drug trade drama! Guess Brangelina fans will have to see if another film opportunity comes around for the power couple to star in together again!

Not so fast! Reports circulated yesterday that Gary Ross , who directed the smash Hunger Games , had officially decided to step away from the film adaptation’s follow-up, Catching Fire , but apparently, according to sources close to the production that nothing is, in fact, formalized – in fact, he’s on a family vacation right now and hasn’t made any decisions regarding his involvement! Insiders have revealed that, in actuality, Ross has not only just been working on the script with series author Suzanne Collins and Slumdog Millionaire screenwriter Simon Beaufoy since November, but also has a pretty solid bond with the cast and crew of the first film, so it would seem natural for him to want to continue on with the franchise! And we sincerely hope that he does! He was able to bring such a stark, tragic realism to the first movie, and it would be nice to have him continue the journey with Katniss and company! But hey! A fresh pair of eyes might not be the worst thing, either! What do U think?? Do U want to see Gary Ross return for Catching Fire ?!

Shepard Fairey , the creator of Obama ‘s iconic “Hope” poster brought the project to Imagine and LBI, and could serve as a producer once a deal gets finalized. Imagine and Fairey were looking to snag the novel about a dystopian and dictatorial state and found out Yorn wanted it too so they decided to hook up
