Joe McElderry, the X Factor champ who hit bullseye with his single The Climb , has revealed he is gay. Though rumors and speculations about his sexuality started to emerge as soon as he won the X Factor in December last year, the 19-year-old credits the message posted by a hacker on his Twitter page – “It’s been difficult living a lie for so many years” – as the real driving force behind his bold decision to come out of the closet.
